This Midcentury Modern Formica & Teak Side Board was produced in 1960 by Stonehill Furniture Co. in England. The sleek design features a stone-colored Formica top and teak wood body, making it a perfect addition to any modern or contemporary space. The side board offers ample storage with three drawers and two cabinets and one pull down door for the drinks cabinet. there is an original light tube inside the drinks cabinet which can be rewired to work on a switch. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, with only minor signs of wear consistent with its age. Add a touch of retro charm to your home with this stunning Midcentury Modern side board.

Steinberg, Nathan; Stonehill Furniture

London; cabinet makers (fl.1910-80)

Steinberg arrived in London from Tarnopol, Austria in 1895, aged 13. He worked as an apprentice cabinet maker and in 1910 set up his own business producing bedroom furniture. The company became Stonehill Furniture after the Second World War and a public company in 1964. The main factory was in Angel Factory Colony, Edmonton, north London, with several other factories including a former Co-op factory in Pelaw, Co. Durham. Nathan’s sons, Philip and Maurice Steinberg ran the business until their retirement in the 1980s.
